Readers, We Need To Talk

With a heavy heart, I'm going to say that for the next 10 days or so, I wouldn't be blogging much because I'm having my exams and like a good, intelligent student, I’m supposed to be studying! The exams would get over on the 2nd of June and then, I'll be among you with more blog-posts than ever. Yeah, that's all I have to say.

The Show-Stopper Is Here Again

Well, yet again it's the month of memorising the subjects; yes it is! No creativity, no fun, no outing, no surfing...whatever you call it, it's here again. I am glad though it's my Final Year...just the last time I'll be "going through the motions" and come June 2, I'll be hopefully done with it! I know I might've cribbed enough about this stuff...but I just can't stop. But then again, now that I am in this System, I have to make the most of it, so I will try to "memorise" it once again and hope that at least this time I do well...

Maa Tujhe Salaam!

Happy Mother's Day to all mothers, mothers-to-be and grandmothers!
I won't be writing much about them as we already know how much they mean and what they have done for us, right? Words will hardly do justice to that! Anybody came out with that something special today...? A video Prayag suggested me to add here, which I really liked -

The Day That It Was...!

They grill you for 2 hours. They leave you helpless for the next 2! Who are they? Okay, sounds like a riddle? It can be one! Answer: XYZ Company (the name not here)
****
The It-happened-to-me-today kissa...
Tick Tick - 2.15 pm The interview at XYZ company starts at that time sharp! The interviewer rapes me...err not literally of course :-P Takes pleasure for the next 2 hours at my behest, and makes me realize that I've actually "learned" zilch during the last four years :-( Or in other words, whatever I did, was absolutely useless! (I'm not mentioning the subjects on which he grilled me here, because then I'll have to reproduce the entire SE-TE-BE syllabus :-P). The ordeal ends at 4.15 pm...relief! He then asks me to wait in the "lounge" (or whatever it was) till the HR gets back to me...and I thought that would be soon enough. Tick Tick - 4.30 pm No communication yet. I pick up the latest issue of Week in front of me and start going through it. Tick Tick - 4.35 pm No one yet. I get bored with the Week and pick up India Today. Tick Tick - 4.45 pm Tried calling the HR - No answer! Start going through some IT magazines kept on the table. Tick Tick - 5.00 pm Yaaaaawn! I almost brisk through all the newspapers and magazines at my disposal! Tick Tick - 5.25 pm See a company bus leaving the campus! Tubelight petli...aaicha! Tick Tick - 5.30 pm Frantic search for a Security guard - nowhere was he. Where the hell were all the people???!!! Couldn't even get into the Cubicles - damn the door! Stranded all alone in the "lounge" :-O Tick Tick - 5.35 pm Did a scan on all the floors - with the help of my best ally - the Elevator. Finally I see a security guard on the 8th! Call the HR fast...still not answering the call. (I just realize that this habit of not answering the call is tya company chya employees chi khasiyat! ;-) ) Tick Tick - 5.45 pm Now for the Jor-Ka-Jhatka-Jor-Se-Lage moment. The guard nonchalantly tells me - "Te saheb hafis madhe nahiyet, ghari gele!" I asked where was the other who interviewed me then? "Te pan gele, tyam (read: time) jhala na! Aata tumhi Main-Gate la ja, tithe te tumhala tya sahebancha phone laoon detil." Barr. The HR tells me on the phone, "Sorry, Rohan...I think it was some kind of a miscommunication! Some kind of???!!! You left me stranded there with nothing but heaps of paper and some strange who-is-he-? glances from the employees?! "I'll give you a call regarding the further process next week". Barr. Tick Tick - 6.10 pm Explained the entire situation to the Security Guards...who sympathized with me :-) (The first people I chatted with after a whole 2 hours!) Tick Tick - 6.15 pm Leave for home...which needed another hour thanks to the choc-a-bloc on the way between. Tick Tick - 7.10 pm Ghari pochlo ekdacha...damlo chayla :-( ...the day that it was!

Why Do People...

1. Completely downrate those who take pride in listening to Hindi and Marathi songs and not in Hard Rock, Metal, Rap? 2. Order a Pizza or a Burger in a South Indian (Udupi) restaurant? 3. Have Celebrities, Babies, Flora & Fauna as their profile/display pics? 4. Are so stubborn to switch-off/mute their cellphones when at a public function or in an auditorium in spite of relentless requests? 5. Say 'no' to complete an English sentence? Eg: I told you no..., It's so hot no… 6. Forward messages to me that end in "Forward this to every Indian…if you are a true Indian"? 7. Think that it's completely IN to be 'In a Relationship/Committed' and commonplace to be 'Single'? 8. Fail to recollect names of the Martyrs of the Mumbai-terrorist-attacks (26/11) but never the name of some Abhishek Bachchan's character in one of his shoddy films? 9. Press buttons on elevators more than once? 10. Write Computer viruses? 11. Continue to smoke, and drink Alcohol till they puke? 12. Care less in following Table Etiquette? 13. Fail to kill their habit of Back-bitching? 14. Abuse me by commenting Anonymously on my Blog? Step up Coward! 15. Read this Blog but not comment? :-)

Thank You!

Thank You readers! When I started blogging early January this year; regularly I must say (been writing here since July 2008, but then the blog wasn't as active as it is now), I had never imagined myself writing a post thanking people for visiting my blog and leaving comments on what I write. Now after completing 50 posts, comments have become such a necessity that every time Mozilla Firefox initializes, the first page that I open is my Gmail account and what I specifically search for are e-mails from Blogger informing me about who commented on which post. This is followed by opening the blogging and replying to comments - either through orkut, Facebook or through the e-mails. And finally when that's done, I go around doing my other work. Blogging has been a great experience for me and that's not only because of the hits or the comments but also because of the interesting people I've found and the friends I've made. If it weren't for these guys religiously leaving me comments, I might have lost the interest in blogging and would not have been here making this post. I've tried to share everything - every single feeling and all the nooks, crannies and crevices of my life here on this blog. I've made posts right from expressing my passionate love for Roger Federer and the game of Tennis, frustrations with the education system, my crushes, practically every perverted or non perverted feeling to the latest one which hails me as a stickler for English grammar and Spellings! - just trying to be true to the name of my Blog :-) I've got a good amount of advice from my small circle of readers on how I can deal with the small issues in my life and all that is greatly appreciated. There have been posts I've written for my friends to read (Observations & Realizations, Save the Vowels and the Spellings, Mondays & Tuesdays are no longer the same...). There have been others which I've made for myself to read in the future with the same zest I'd while writing them (A Letter to Roger Federer - completely heartfelt, "God, It's killing me!", 15 Minutes of Fame...15 Years ago!) and there have also been posts which have been purely for hits (The 'S' Factor, When I skipped a heartbeat..., Kande Pohe - eaten and sung!). Luckily for me, all these seem to have worked :-P As far as naming people goes, the list would get very long if I try writing about everybody. Therefore I’d just like everybody to know that I appreciate every person who ever bothered to read and/or comment on anything I've written. Samir, Prayag, Rutuja, Neeraj, Vineet, Madhura, Kedar, Ranjit, Sangram, Meghana, Amit - some of my regular readers/critics and I cherish their comments! So those who read the posts, please comment as I always plead you to do - feed backs, constructive criticisms, are the only ways for me to know that you all are reading the blog, which goes a long way in pumping me up for more posts :-) There's always this option of "following" the blog (just check the column to the RHS of this post having the option of "following" and the pics of my "followers". Just a click away...) If I missed out on anybody, I'm really sorry. Make sure you manage to land here and smack me till I do a full post about you. No really, I love all of you who have visited, read and commented. I’m nothing without you. Thank you so much. Happy reading.

Transformation...

Yawn! Aah, another one of those dull days :-(
Gosh! I'm so used to the "PL Look" now during "these" times :-D
What's the day/date today? Friday, 1 May, 2009
Oh! The goddamn Practicals are just the day after...
Shave. Bloody!
